Sikh Rehat Maryada - adapted to fit in Gurmat

Here is the edited version of the current Rehat Maryada. This one fits with Gurmat, and doesn't contradict it by mentioning Dasam Granth parts in Nitnem and Ardaas.

Meditation on Nam (Divine Substance) and Scriptures
Aritcle IV
(1) A Sikh should wake up in the ambrosial hours (three hours before the dawn), take bath and, concentrating his/her thoughts on One Immortal Being, repeat the name Waheguru (Wondrous Destroyer of darkness).
(2) He/she should recite the following scriptural compositions every day:
(a) the Japuji (p. 1 – 7, Guru Granth) – in the morning.
(b) Sodar Rehras (p. 8 – 12, Guru Granth) – in the evening
(c) the Sohila (p. 12 – 13, Guru Granth) - to be recited at night before going to bed.
The morning and evening recitations should be concluded with Ardas (formal supplication litany).
(3) (a) The text of the Ardas:
Ardas
Ik Oankar Satgur Parsad

I bow to the Primal Guru. I bow to the Guru of the ages. I bow to the True Guru.
I bow to the Great, Divine Guru.

Salok Mehla 2
He Himself knows, He Himself acts, and He Himself does it right. So stand before Him, O Nanak, and offer your prayers.
Pauri Mahalla 5
You are our Lord and Master; to You, I offer this prayer. This body and soul are all Your property. You are our mother and father; we are Your children. In Your Grace, there are so many joys! No one knows Your limits. O Highest of the High, Most Generous God, the whole creation is strung on Your thread. That which has come from You is under Your Command. You alone know Your state and extent.
Nanak, Your slave, is forever a sacrifice.
Meditating on the achievement of the male and female members of the Khalsa who laid down their lives in the cause of dharma (religion and righteousness), got their bodies dismembered bit by bit, got their skulls sawn off, got mounted on spiked wheels, got their bodies sawn, made sacrifices in the service of the shrines (gurdwaras), did not betray their faith, sustained their adherence to the Sikh faith with sacred unshorn hair uptill their last breath, say, “Waheguru”, O Khalsa.
Thinking of the five thrones (seats of religious authority) and all gurdwaras, say, “Waheguru”, O Khalsa.
Now it is the prayer of the whole Khalsa. May the conscience of the whole Khalsa be informed by Waheguru, Waheguru, Waheguru and, in consequence of such remembrance, may total well-being obtain. Wherever there are communities of the Khalsa, may there be Divine protection and grace, and ascendance of the supply of needs and of the holy sword, protection of the tradition of grace, victory to the Panth, the succour of the holy sword, ascendance of the Khalsa. Say, O Khalsa, “Waheguru”.
Unto the Sikhs the gift of the Sikh faith, the gift of the untrimmed hair, the gift of the disciple of their faith, the gift of sense of discrimination, the gift of truest, the gift of confidence, above all, the gift of meditation on the Divine and bath in the Amritsar (holy tank at Amritsar). May hymns-singing missionary parties, the flags, the hostels, abide from age to age. May righteousness reign supreme. Say, “Waheguru”. May the Khalsa be imbued with humility and high wisdom! May Waheguru guard its understanding!
O Immortal Being, eternal helper of Thy Panth, benevolent Lord, bestow on the Khalsa the beneficence of unobstructed visit to the free management of Nankana Sahib and other shrines and places of the Guru from which the Panth have been separated.
O Thou, the honour of the humble, the strength of the weak, aid unto those who have none to rely on, True Father, Waheguru, we humbly render to you (mention here the name of the scriptural composition that has been recited or, in appropriate terms, the object for which the congregation has been held.). Pardon any impermissible accretions, omissions, errors, mistakes. Fulfill the purposes of all.
Grant us the association of those dear ones, on meeting whom one is reminded of Your Name. O Nanak, may the Nam (Holy) be ever in ascendance! In Thy will may the good of all prevail!
(b) On the conclusion of the Ardas, the entire congregation participating in the Ardas should respectfully genuflect before the revered Guru Granth, then stand up and call out, “Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh”. The Congregation should, thereafter, raise the loud spirited chant of Sat Sri Akal (True is the Timeless Being).
(c) While the Ardas is being performed, all men and women in the congregation should stand with hands folded. The person in attendance of the Guru Granth should keep waving the whisk standing.
(d) The person who performs the Ardas should stand facing the Guru Granth with hands folded. If the Guru Granth is not there, the performing of the Ardas facing any direction is acceptable.
(e) When any special Ardas for and on behalf of one or more persons is offered, it is not necessary for persons in the congregation other than that person or those persons to stand up.

Who started Khalsa Panth?

Khalsa Panth was started in 1699 by Guru Gobind Singh?

Then what Panth did Guru Nanak Sahib start? Since Bhai Gurdas says NANAK NIRMAL PANTH CHALAYA - NANAK STARTED A PURE PATH (Religion). Was it difference to Khalsa?

NO ! Truth is, Khalsa evolued from Guru Nanak Sahib's time till Guru Gobind Singh's time and was complete in 1699.

Understand and Implement Gurbani

We are led to Hindu philosphy by Sant Baba Deras, who want us to be engrossed doing millions of repititons of several Banis without knowing the meanings. This is not of much use. Bani DOES have power, since it is Dhur Ki Banee but Gurbani itself says us not to only read/recite but also know its meanings and implement the teachings.

What is the use of Japji Sahib, if you are going to commit same Paaps?

One who reads and understands is acceptable. Upon his forehead is the Insignia of the Court of the Lord.
(M:1, 662, SGGS)

All the Sikhs and followers come to worship and praise. They sing the great Bani of True Guru. Their singing and listening brings fruit only when they implement the teachings of the True Guru.
(M:4, 669, SGGS)

Listen, memorise, learn meanings, recite and preach Gurbani.

Difference between Gurmat and DG view on women

From Sri Guru Granth Sahib:

From woman, man is born; within woman, man is conceived; to woman he is engaged and married. Woman becomes his friend; through woman, the future generations come.
When his woman dies, he seeks another woman; to woman he is bound. So why call her bad? From her, kings are born. From woman, woman is born; without woman, there would be no one at all.
Guru Nanak Sahib ~~ 473, Guru Granth Sahib

From Dasam Granth:

The games of these women are beyond understanding. Even God is regretting after creating them. 25.1. (Chariter 322, Dasam Granth)

Actions of women are beyond understanding. Even God is shocked after creating them. 18.1. (Chariter 395, Dasam Granth)

Dasam Granthis usually say that Charitropakhyaan are stories that have been retold by Guru Gobind Singh Ji, and at the end they give a teaching or some knowledge. These above parts are not part of story, and are the so-called teachings given by Guru Gobind Singh Ji in Charitropakhyaan. Is it possible that 1st Nanak said that women can't be called bad, and that Charitropakhyaan writer (10th Nanak) is of opinion that the Creator (Waheguru) is regretting after creating women? No, because 10th Nanak (Guru Gobind Singh Ji) is NOT the writer of Charitropakhyaan or even Dasam Granth.

How can a writing that conflicts with ideals of GURU GRANTH SAHIB be a Sikh writing, let alone written by THE Guru himself?

Dasam Granthis attack Sikh Lehar Centre

Some facts of what happened April 2, 2010 at Sikh Lehar Centre in Toronto, *based on eyewitness accounts, I was not there, but 3-4 people I have talked to were*

- Pro-Dasam-Granth Singhs were heard making "battle-tactics", how to get into Sikh Lehar Centre, and remarking they will chop Darshan Singh and his supporters into peices
- Pro-Dasam-Granth Singhs were heard saying, "if you are not ready to give your head today, then leave" making it seem like it was a battle to the death.
- Pro-Dasam-Granth Singhs went into a "formation" to try to enter the Sikh Lehar Centre and were stopped at the door. After being refused to get in, weapons were drawn and Sikh Lehar Centre members were attacked with swords and sticks.
- Sikh Lehar Centre members were hit with swords and sticks.
~~ Jvala Singh

Some information about the Sikh Lehar incident. Pro Dasam Granthis attacked Gurduara president who was holding papers and hit him in the head with a sharp knife/sword. They also attacked the chairman of the Gurduara. He was just with the president. Prof. Darshan Singh wasn't even scheduled to speak on information from police. He was informed by police to not go so he never came.

They also stole the camera of a anti-Dasam Granthi, so that the truth couldn't be leaked... By this their propaganda media such as Panthic weekly and (Lakhw)Inder Sinh (USA) etc could lie as usual.
